re: How do you do clean up?

I keep the tv off then I say clean up and you can watch tv. I have to tell Dylan what to do specifically like put the Legos in the red box and so on. He's getting better. If he whines and cries I say ok but no tv. Sometimes I'll help him along if he's extra whiney lol.

I like to use the words "in charge of" and that seems to help. My son likes to be in charge of something. I might say, ok, time to clean. "Jaxon, you be in charge of all of the trains. I will be in charge of the blocks!" Or ask him what he wants to be in charge of. Sometimes just making it exciting helps. We also play scramble where we pick a magic number and try to clean up before we get to that number. I will say, the magic number is 22 and then say "scramble!" when I say scramble we start cleaning and I count loud and slow. When I get to the magic number we have to stop and decide if we need to do another scramble or if we made it in one scramble. Kinda silly, but works!

Nah I'm not like that, lol. If I can walk without tripping over/steppping on stuff I'm good.
Dishes get done once daily (DH does them). Vacuuming gets done as needed (several times a day sometimes).

I'm too tired at the end of the day, when the kids go to bed I'm off duty. We all go to bed early too, kids at 7-7:30 and grown ups around 10.
