Are we eternal beings?

Having no beginning or ending? I believe the body is just a shell the soul uses for it's earthly journey but upon the soul's entry into the world it gradually forgets its nature and where it came from in order to have the human or whatever life form experience. I believe the soul has always existed as part of the sorce(God)and will forever be existing. Basically I believe we are and always will be. These are just my views. What do you believe?

No, I believe once the brain dies, the show is over. I don't have a soul, and there is no afterlife (for me). I can't speak for anyone else.

I believe the brain is not the source of life nor is it needed to sunstain it. It is more like a computer.

Well, I should have added that I do believe all living beings share an energy with the Earth. Once we die, the energy is recycled back throughout Earth, or perhaps, for whatever reason, trapped among us. To me, that would explain ghosts and things.

I've never seen any either.   I don't think my brain is wired to tap into spirits.

i think basically that we are all energy and that energy cant be destroyed only transformed into something else.

ummm I don't really know, but I believe there's something outthere bigger than us, and once we die, we'll find out.

But one thing I know, loosing someone close changes everything.. I use to be very doubtful but after loosing my 12 year-old best friend and my daughters I simply thought: There has to be Heaven to see them again or nothing of this has any purpose. you need to be certain of something to reunite you with your loved one, so it's easier to move on... until that day.

i wanna believe theres something after we die!! i would love to see my loved ones again but i just dont bealive its heaven and i cant explain ghost i hope we do find out when we die!

Then again, I'm also a believer in agent-causation so...
