re: If you were induced between 34-36 weeks or sooner

I was induced at 36+3 with ny daughter.( I had my son at 36+2 and labor was only 1 hr 46 minutes.) I was dilated to 5 cm with a bulging bag. I was having pretty strong contractions but wasnt able to feel them unless I could watch the monitor and concentrate. I also needed 8 hrs of antibiotics for group b strep. They were afraid tgat if my water broke at home I would not make it to the hospital to feluver let alone get the antibiotics.
I was kept overnight on bed rest to make sure I got all the antibiotics. I was supposed to be induced first thing in the hospital but there were a ton of babies being born so I had to wait.
At 2:10 pm they finally broke my water and started just a tiny bit of pitocin. I went from 5 to 6 1/2.
I was easily able to breathe through my contractions and felt absolutely no pain. It didnt take too long for me to feel the urge to push. I told my nurse and she told me there was no way it was time already.
I waited through a few more contractions and told her again, and again she tried to blow me off. So I calmly said "Look lady. I am pushing this baby out with or without you and that midwife.!"
She checked, ran and got Katy, I pushed 3 times, and Bo Delainie was placed on my chest at 2:46 pm. Only 36 minutes of labor!!!
She was tiny at only 5lbs 3 oz but perfectly healthy!

I was in the hospital at 33w6d for a 24 hour urine....went in on a tuesday, released on sat. I had pre-e and it was just getting worse. Went back to Dr on tuesday and they sent me right back over. At 34w6d they decided to induce me. They checked me before I got everything and they said I was 1cm. They but the cervigel in for 12 hours. Removed it and I was still a 1. Then in the morning at 35 weeks, I was started on pitocin. Was on that for about 4 hours and when the dr checked me, he said I was almost a 2, and he could feel her head bopping around. She was nowhere ready. He said I could honestly be in labor for another 18 hours at the rate I was going. I was having no contractions what so ever on my own. Ended up having a c section. She was a great size, 6 pounds even but had to go to the NICU and was there for 18 days. Really just learning how to suck and eat....she would throw up a lot after eating, after they increased her intake. But otherwise, she was great, no breathing issues, no jaundice, nothing. Hoping I make it further this time, would love to not have a NICU baby, butttt im already having issues :-( Good luck and I hope everything goes well!!
