Best carrier?

I want something like a wrap or sling peferrably. I was going to get a moby but I heard they aren't good for older babies and toddlers. If I'm going to shell out the cash I want to to last, ya know?

So what's a good carrier that will last us a good long time?

A woven wrap is the same concept as a Moby, only kicks way more ass because they're great with big kids, too and safe for back carries. A soft structure carrier (well known ones would be Ergo, Boba, and Beco, but there are tons of better options) would last in theory, but wouldn't fit ideally from birth to toddlerhood.

Watching because I want one too!

Is a woven wrap something I can get from a store or something I would have to buy from someone who makes them? I'm new to the carrier business, I had some kind of front pack for my son but I hated it and couldn't figure it out, lol

To ride on your coattails a little here, OP-- have any of you used Seven Slings?? I got a free one and I'm wondering how well it works.

You can buy them online! If you have a cloth diaper store near you they *may* have some, but that one is kind of crap shoot. My favorite online retailer is Marsupial Mamas, but her stock is kind of low currently because she just had a kick ass sale and sold out of a lot of stuff. There's also a great Facebook group where you can buy/sell/trade new or used ones. Used is actually great a lot of the time because you don't have to worry about breaking them in usually, and they tend to hold most of their value so when you're done you can get most of your money back on them. If you're petite I'd get a size 5 (4.2 meters), if you're average sized a 6 (4.6), and if you're fluffy I'd get a 7 (5.2).

They aren't generally recommended because they're hard to size properly and they're made of super cheap material. They *can* work in a pinch in a hip carry with an older baby, but they're nowhere near the most comfortable option, and aren't very good quality.
