Me personally, I think they look like little strippers and my child, especially at age 7, would never be in a costume that skimpy doing what I consider to be provocative dancing...Opinions?

I plan on putting DD in dance if she still loves to dance as much as she does now at 14 months, it is our favorite activity, but no way in hell would she ever be in dancing or costumes like this...

Obviously these girls have had training, which is commendable, but this style of dancing paired with the clothing is absolutely inappropriate! Change the style or the clothes, and it wouldn't be so bad. As is,

The costume is no worse than swimwear to me, and...I guess I didn't think the dancing was TOO extreme. I dunno. Not a huge deal to me, but I can see where it is pretty shocking to some people.

I agree with a PP I think it is the dancing and costumes combined if they changed one or the other, I don't think it would look as bad as it does, but together I think it's a little in appropriate for a seven year old.

I mean, I'd for sure prefer a different um...approach to a dance routine, but say my kid was in dance, and this is what they'd come up with, I wouldn't like freak out and pull her out of the class or anything.

I think everyone is over reacting. All those dance moves that they are doing are REAL dance moves. The only reason you normally don't see 7 yr olds doing them is cause they are really hard technically and they can't. These girls are extremely talented to be able to dance this well and execute these moves at their age.
HELL yes I would let my daughter dance like that if she could. It's only inappropriate if you have a dirty mind and don't know anything about dance.
