Quoting Jenna+1:" I think everyone is over reacting. All those dance moves that they are doing are REAL dance moves. The ... [snip!] ... my daughter dance like that if she could. It's only inappropriate if you have a dirty mind and don't know anything about dance."

The 'technical' dance moves they did were great and they are obviously amazing dancers for being only seven, and while I value your opinion, as I asked for them, I disagree with it. You can do technical dance moves without shaking your ass provocatively in a bikini and thigh highs. I think the dancing and costumes is a little too mature for their age group, and I probably would pull DD from this class if this is what they came up with for a 7 year old.

Meh, I think the customs are cute and saw very little ass shaking.. There was some but not excessive amounts or anything alarming. I've seen way skimpier costumes on much younger girls.

Don't care since it's just dancing.

And how is their outfit any different than a 2 piece swim suit?

Its just dance...come on. lol Back in the 90's when I was in dance growing up, we danced and dressed the same, to old 90's dance music. Samething.

Yes I would let my kids do it. Its how it is in dance. If parents dont like it, they shouldnt put there kids in it.

No different than a 2 piece swim suit.

ONE THING is for certain - THESE girls rock it. there's just so much talent in there.. I think they might be a little too young for the outfit.. But keeping them from practising something they love and are so good at, it's just selfish.

I used to be a dancer and this is really not that bad. Like someone else said, it is no more revealing than a swimsuit. And these dance moves are very technical and difficult for even trained adults to do. These are the same little girls who did the Single Ladies dance. It's not that serious.

I have been in choreographed dance my whole life, so I really see nothing wrong with it. I actually like the choreography.

No I absolutely would not allow my 7 year old to participate in that. Yes it is no more revealing than a 2 piece bathing suit and yes the moves might be fine for dance but both of those things are place appropriate putting them altogether and having a 7 year old do it, just no IMO.

I don't get the "swimsuit" comparison. My underwear is no more revealing than a swimsuit, but I also don't walk around outside with it on nor would anyone find it appropriate if I did. I've also never seen anyone wear thigh highs with a swim suit. Their only intent is to be sexy, ever...in any use. I thought the costumes in that one were better than these I saw on them before:

And no - I would find a different class that focused less on making my 7 yr old sexy & more on her technical abilities. I dont' ahve a dirty mind, I have the mind of amother & my first job is to keep my kids safe, even from exploitation, which is rampant with talented children.

Oh wow that is even worse! I agree with everything you just said, it is not having a dirty mind to plainly see that your child is being sexualised and exploited and put your foot down. Unfortunately though in these type of industry sexualising people and getting places seem to go hand and hand and is expected, it's very sad.

Oh yes and to add I don't see what is technical about shaking your ass or opening your legs and dropping to the floor which is in the single ladies video. Where I can from most highly intoxicated girls are able to do those moves on a Saturday night in a club, I doubt they're all technically trained dancers.

Um have you ever danced? Don't answer that cause I already know the answer. If you did you would get that it is technical and not easy. You need to practice and practice. It's a legit style of dance. What they are doing is a mix of hip hop, crumping and jazz! I see nothing wrong with either video. How do you think they are supposed to be able to do that stuff when they are older without training at a young age? 99% of professional dancer have jobs where they have to dance just liked this. The younger you start the better chance at it becoming a career. It's a very competive area, most would kill to get to be paid to do what they love. Work from a young age is what gets them there. Also it's not like they are touching themselves and dancing on poles! Geez ppl!
