I'm not sure if i'm pregnant or not

I had a m/c on the 12/12/12 & the bleeding lasted for 18 days, went on the pill for 10 days but had to come off it as it gave me really bad mood swings. 5 days later had spotting which lasted for 8 days & 7 days later (today) i've started spotting again but I got a very faint positive test which can only be seen if held in the light. Since m/c i've had no af but wondering if it's left over pregnancy hormone or it's a new pregnancy but i'm not convinced that I am pg lol

Go have a blood test done and they can check your hormone levels.

They don't normally check HCG levels here in the UK. I'll probably do another test in a weeks time & see what that says & if it's positive i'll go & see my GP.

There's really no way to know for sure unless you have your levels measured. Very sorry for your loss, OP.  

First off I want to say I'm sorry for your loss. I know you've prolly heard that a million times since it happend. I've been there and the hurt never really goes away but it does get easier to deal with. But now to your question. After my miscarrages I had pregnancy hormones for a couple of weeks afterwards. I had the d&c done and they keep check on my hormone levels as I healed from that. So it is very possible that the positive test is coming from the left over hormones. But after a birth or miscarrage or even abortion your body is most fertal. So you could very well be pregnant again. So with that being said if it was me id go on to my dr and ask for a blood test. For pregnancy. Not my hormones. But I really don't see anything wrong with waiting a week to home test again. If you are pregnant again by next week the line should be darker. If it was hormones then the result should be a negitive. I hope all goes as you want it to.

Thanks hun, i'm just taking it a day at a time, have my good days & I have my bad days were I just get upset but i'm so glad i've got hubby for great support.

It's only been 4 weeks since the bleeding stopped from m/c & your probably right about hormone levels still being in my system as i'm not convinced I am pregnant as i'm spotting & I don't even feel pregnant.

In a way I want to be pregnant again but i'm so scared of having another m/c but I suppose it's natural to feel like that.

This is how I was with my second miscarriage. I was in my second trimester and the baby didn't pass naturally so I had to have a d&c. I was still getting positive tests up to 6 weeks after the procedure.

I had a blighted ovum so there was just an empty gestational sac which I miscarried naturally. At my last scan on the 27th December the EPU said there was a 2cm clot which will come out when I have my af but i'm sure i've passed it when i've just been spotting. They said it won't effect my HCG levels from going down but they did offer me a D&C but I refused as I don't do operations lol.
I might phone them on Monday morning & see what they say, i'm hoping they will see me & I they scan me again so I know what's going on as this is bleeding off & on is starting to drive me nuts lol

I lost ours on 12/10/12 and two weeks later didn't have any hCG left in my body. So I am thinking this may be a new pregnancy for you. Maybe the spotting was implantation bleeding?

I went to see my GP yesterday who ordered a Beta HCG blood test which I had this morning so got to wait until tomorrow afternoon for the results. If i'm still spotting by next week i've to have a scan to find out what's going on

In a way I want to be pg again even though we are ttc but i'm so scared of getting pg again just in case I have an other m/c, can't win either way lol.

The m/c was a huge shock especially after having 3 healthy pregnancies, you just don't expect it to happen even though there's always that risk.

I've been waiting patiently all day & rang the dr's surgery a few times today & Dr hadn't looked at the results. GP surgery has just rang me back & asked me to repeat the blood test next Tuesday. I've got to go in in the morning for a print out of my results but the receptionist was very vague. They must of found some HCG but i'm still not getting my hopes up just yet
