When we first got here our experience was down right terrible. Our car was broken into the first week we were here and all my identification was stolen. Then housing told us we wouldn't be getting into housing for 6mo and our TLA would be out in 2mo so it was a very stressful situation. Like you I knew what to expect with DHs job in Lejeune... But here its a whole new story. He was given a work schedule when we first got here and I have counted 12 times its changed since we got here in September. He also starts working nights next month (probably going to ruin our TTC plans) and its rough. We are on the Marine base in Kaneohe and he works in Pearl Harbor across the island. His unit support is all over there so I can just walk down the road to it or have a short drive to go see some support ya know? That's been really hard.

But yeah I think we will just keep it to ourselves. So what if we are seeking counseling ya know? I plan to just keep it a secret from anyone and not say a word about being pregnant until I am showing.

I'm assuming this was to me because I think I'm the only one that talked about my bank account lol It doesn't matter if I change my password the way the bank has it set up, when she logs in to see her accounts she sees ALL accounts she's on. She can go in and take money (she never has) or transfer money to us. DH got an 'allowance' and she paid his gas money before we were married so he wouldn't have to work while in school but now that we have a family I told DH i'm not accepting any more money from her because then I felt like I had to do what she wanted and we don't agree when it comes to DD so we no longer get any money from her and DH has a good job. He just ordered like 3 booklets of checks so I defiantly will have to wait until they are gone but when they are we are getting a new account because it's so weird that she can see what we spend OUR money on.

So weird! Take out cash as much as you can for stuff. At least that way she can't know what it's for!

It is weird!! I hate it so much. I try but I hate that she knows how much money we have. We told her that we couldn't afford to do much for Christmas presents (we had money in the account but we had plans for it) but because I saved all years for DH's present and got him tickets to a pro football game she made such a fuss and felt that she should get an equally expensive gift so she wanted us to buy her a Dyson. She got a $10 picture frame from Hobby Lobby

OMG that literally sounds like our PCS to here. The 2nd day we were here our car go broken into, and our was robbed house 2 months later. Anything that could go wrong did go wrong. Made me despise this place for a while, but it finally grew on me. I'm sorry I know how hard it is when nothing seems like it's going right. I'm sure it will get better though. It sounds like there's a lot of adjustments going on. I really hope everything works out for you. Hopefully TTC will happen quickly and that will give you something positive to focus on. Just focus on yourself and your family and keep things at a need-to-know with everyone know

Hawaii is slowly growing on us but I don't think we will ever get use to it being so darn expensive lol.
