besides the regular pregnancy back pains and cramps... Today I had my cervix checked and gahhh it was painful. I know it isn't supposed to be pleasant by any means but this time it HURT! I'm guessing since I haven't had sex in a while.. IDK. Now the problem is the cramps and worse back pain :/ Any one else experience this?? No matter what I try to do to help ease the pain, nothing helps

I had mine checked two days ago (ended up in the hospital thinking something was wrong because I was contracting so bad and I had some pretty intense pressure for two days prior... only found out I was really dehydrated, and severely anemic...) Anyway... yeah... it was kind of horrible for me too... ;A;

Oh the anemic part may be a problem but the nurse saiI had to wait for blood work to be back before I could get my prescription

Yeah, it was so painful. I practically screamed and cried when she did it it hurt so bad. I then went into labor, water broke, about 15 hours later. At 7am the next morning

I was about to cry I was holding on to everything I could. Then she told me to "calm down, It's not that bad". She wouldn't have liked it either

I would ask them not to check any more. Unless you have a history of preterm/early labor there is no need for it.

My sil just had twins at 40wks 3 days naturally and she has the same doctor as me, our doctor doesn't check anyone until they are in active labor unless there is a real reason to. IE: history of early/preterm labor, increased pressure, ruptured waters, etc. before that it's unnecessary, painful, and risks introducing bacteria that could cause infection. There is no reason you should go through that more than you absolutely need to.
