baby shower foods

What should wemake for the foods? We're expecting around 30-40 people to arrive, so I want to have enough but it also be cheaper.

We are doing a veggie tray, ambrosia salad, chips and dip, salad and a sandwhich tray.

We made mini sandwiches and had fresh fruit/veggie trays. ( we assembled those ourselves, and they were MUCH cheaper than the pre-made trays.

You could also do like a lasagna or chili if you want more of a meal.

We did a big crock pot of sloppy joes, chips, dip, veggie and cheese trays, and my friend made a cake.

How did yall do your sandwhich trays? & yeah we are going to do fruit/veggie trays also and we was gonna make our own. and I know we will have some desserts.

Sandwhich tray, egg salad, chicken salad, ham and cheese, roast beef, or salami.

Fruit/veggie tray with dips, maybe a cheese ball. pumpernickle bread and spinach dip. Chocolate fountain lol potato salads, crackers (for cheese ball)

We got white and wheat bread and had turkey ham and roast beef from the deli. We made half with cheese and half without and kind of had a "build your own" with the veggies/mustard and mayo on the side.

We cut them all into 4ths, so they were the wire little sandwich quarters.

Okay, I wasnt sure if I should have different types of meats/bread and go ahead and put cheese on all or half..
