birth control after vaginal births of 5 children

I know this is a weird question but I am in need of birth control after this baby is born. (something other than pill, depo shot, patch, or nuvaring because they arent good for me) I was told by people that i could try paragard since its got no hormones. But I was told after my last birth by my OB that my cervix was too open to have an IUD put it. I went without a doctor for a good while after that so I didnt even look into. then when i saw a new gyn she put me on nuvaring which i ended up causing me an allergic reaction. I got pregnant shortly after I got off that before I was able to see my gyn again (I had an appointment that rescheduled THREE freaking times because she had other stuff come up) soooo i want to know if anyone has any insight because I dont want to get my tubes tied but that will be last resort and I will have to do it within a few months after shes born or risk number 6 happening. So advice? anyone ever have paragard and have issues on it or whatever after vaginal births.

I basically just abstained from sex until I got my tubal but kept Plan B on hand in case we did have sex. I don't trust condoms.

Well I have a depo baby and a mirena baby, we just use condoms for now, which is best thing for me and him...

If I had to get bc, I wouldn't want to tie my tubes either, id look into the essure, which is the coils... but I deff don't want more kids, if I were to gt preg again after the essure and vasectomy, I guess that 1 was ment to be haha but not giving up condoms yet...

I love th paraguard if i were you id get a sexpind opinion about the paraguard ive never had issues although i only get my period eveyother month i wouldnt use your tubes being tied as a temp bc

I've had two vaginal births and have the Paragard. I absolutely love the thing!!


The only other thing I know of would be Essure, but that's pretty much like a tubal.

I had the Implanon it wasn't bad but I prefer pills

I had paraguard placed by Planned Parenthood 7 weeks PP, and my OB removed it 12 weeks PP because it had either been placed wrong, or had moved out of place. It was about to puncture my uterus when he noticed it not where it should be on the ultrasound he was doing.
condoms or tubal are the only things I can think of. Unless they still do that one where it's implanted in your arm. Idk what it's called.

implanon and i dont want that. i was thinking of the paragard because i was told it had less horrible side effects and all. but tubal is my last resort. i do NOT want one but i have to do something. like literally its being forced on me. lol i dont want any more kids (at least not for a long time and i know a tubal can be reversible if i really wanted more later on) so i have to make sure i dont get pregnant again and condoms, pills, patches, shots, and the nuvaring were all failures for me. lol

You can ask for the type of tubal where they only staple the ends. Has a higher failure rate, but not by that much and it's reversable for sure.
Why no patch? That worked well for me.

i got pregnant with my second daughter on the patch. it would NOT stay on and i had to constantly put new ones on. (never lasted more than a day or so on me in any spot i tried.

lol I had one on the back of my sholder. It would come off at the edges, but stayed on. but this was before I had any kids to chase.

i had mine after my first was born. no matter how i put it on my shoulder it would not stay on, or my hip or thigh.
