If you have panic attacks...

What, if anything, do you take to help them?
Right now the only medication I am on is Levothyroxine (for my thyroid) and Citalopram (for my depression).
But currently am not on anything specific for my panic attacks.

Klonopin! I cant really drive or do anything productive the rest of the day, makes me feel like a zombie but it will stop a panic attack in its tracks!

Xanax.....

Xanax helps but takes too long to kick in
I smoke more (cigarettes) when I have them or pot if I have it

Med wise: ativan, benedryl, xanax,
I've been perscribed all 3 at diff times they seemed to help till I built up tolerance
Now I use medical marijauna, which is ok, besides it knocks me out which isn't a problem really because I'm not shaking and crying
Breathing usually helps if I'm not taking anything, showers and laying down...

Buspar it helps me alot I used to not even be able to go into a store without having a panic attack being around to many people. Now I can go shopping again and hang out with people instead of being a hermit.

I had SUPER BAD panic attacks & was put on Klonopin & Prozac , worked AMAZING for me , which is suprising because I spent atleast 13 years trying different medications to see what fit me .

I had horrible reactions to buspar
It made me feel like everything was in slow motion and my body would go numb

I'm not on anything, but I just stay locked in the house, unable to sleep and busy myself with cleaning (it relaxes me)

Right now I am on 150mg if zoloft, 75mg of wellbutrin, 10mg 3xdaily buspar, and 0.5mg of ativan 2x daily. I also have a hashimotos disease (hypothyroid) and take gr1 of armour thyroid. The wellbutrin is already helping and I'm on day 1!! I suffer from multiple panic attacks a day. I also drink sleepy time tea and am looking for a counselor.
