I talk and text all the time- in the passenger seat! lol
When I start driving I'm on high alert to what I'm doing- I'd barely notice the phone if it got up and danced.

I would rather do that but I can't. My car is so smurfing loud with smurffy road noise! I can't hear it unless I put it to my ear. Lol

In California it's illegal, too. My husband got a ticket for talking on the phone while driving in 2009. He has a Bluetooth device now. lol

!!!
I keep my phone in my purse or the center console, I got it from my sister because she's always done that and drilled it in my head since I was younger. The only time it's out is when I'm using the GPS but I don't touch it while driving. I get the directions before I take off & then don't grab it again until I'm at my destination.

I feel like I'm the only one in the thread who has admitted to doing it regularly. Lol.

I admit to doing it before it was illegal. ALL THE TIME. I pretty much learned to drive while on a cell phone. I texted, I talked on the phone, ate in the car while doing that. Seriously. I was BAD.

I eat in the car too. I try to pick things up like chicken nuggets and whatnot where you just pick it up and munch.

I'm so bad about eating in the car. I'm a freakin pro though   My first car was a stick shift and DH hated that I would eat in the car (it didn't have cup holders) so I would have my burger in one hand, fries in the other, drink between my legs and would drive most of the way no handed (an occasional adjustment but the car was old enough that it didn't have that thing where it starts to veer right after so long). If I needed to turn I would adjust my burger just right so that I didn't spill anything. I can't believe I was so stupid driving like that

That's a funny image! Lol.

I don't usually eat more than fries or something in town. And my car is an automatic so that's not an issue anymore! For the most part though, I only eat in the car if I'm on the interstate. Because if I'm on the interstate, it usually means I'm driving for 6+ hours.

I'll talk on my built in blue tooth, but usually it is a quick call. I definitely won't text while driving.
