Big baby

posted 25th Jan
Question so my son is too big for the infant car seat so we moved him to a convertible and I dont know how to walk around stores and stuff with him since he is only 3 months and cant sit up. Do they make anything to just sit them in for stores and stuff. I can't really use a sling or warp since he is heavy and I have a bad back.

You can use a carrier, it just has to be a good quality carrier. If I can carry my toddlers, I'm sure you can carry your infant. Why is your son too big for the infant seat? Too long or weight limit reached?

Stroller? Or if there is a cart you could get a cart cover with a harness like this one

How is he too big for the infant seat already..weight? I've seen some places with those infant seats attached to carts, but they were always really grody looking.

All of this. I have a VERY bad back and can carry my 30lbs toddler in an ERGO for at least an hour or two before it hurts some.

He is to long for the car seat already almost 27 inches and the car seat limit is 26. I have a cart cover but dont they have to sit up for that. I wont use the ones on the carts since you never know if a baby has had a leaking diaper or anything on them ewww. I have a twisted spine and scoliosis which hurts my back alot and shoulder osteoarthritis it is really hard to use a carrier.

And yes he is 17lbs as my last post said but that is not why he is out of the car seat it is his length

There needs to be at least 1 inch of shell above your son's head while he's in the infant car seat. He could still be able to fit in there, at least for store visits until he gains more head control.

Stroller. Use the cart cover but kinda lay him down and use blankets to prop.
