Braxton hicks or labor?
posted 25th Jan
This is my 2nd pregnancy and am 38 weeks along, my first born I had a C-section done with him so I hardly got to experience the whole labor part with him.. I was up most of the night last night from shortness of breathe and back pains, not the menstrual period type of back pain but just from the baby's weight on me.. I woke early this morning spotting brownish stuff just very slightly and had lower back pains & menstrual like cramps on my lower stomach. I went to see the doctor and they didn't say anything but to wait it out.. The cramps and spotting remain and aren't changing.

Wait it out. You will know when things start getting more intense. If you are doubling over in pain consistently and you can time it you are in labour.

I'll start timing them now, but these cramps are getting real painful.

It NEVER got super painful for me when I went into labor naturally (induced w/ first). Pushing wasn't fun but really, I was fine. I had to close my eyes from 9-10 but that's about it. So... I'm totally for women going to get checked when they get regular or you think it might be labor.

When they get really intense and you can time them regularly go in. But I know here if you aren't progressed far enough along they send you home. I don't know what they do in your area.

Start timing the pains. Are they getting more painful?
