That's how I read it...I think she meant the crib mattress was lowered all the way. That's why she was astonished he could climb out, and so concerned.

My son actually did the same thing at about that age...Maybe a little older. He was fine! Watch him for signs of a concussion, but I'm sure he'll be okay. Kids are tough.

I see it now. Sadly it had to be pointed out to me before I comprehended it.  

With a bump to the head, I have been told to look out for signs

Obvious ones:
seizures, vomiting, loss of consciousness

Ones to check for:
Pupil dilation when going from a bright room to dark room
Bruising behind the ears
bruising to the eyes
Soft lump as opposed to a hard lump, soft lumps aren't good!!

its not a side drop crib its a regular crib that i lowered the matress on but he somehow still climbed out hes done it 2 times sine and ive caught him. idk what im going to do

he seems fine but he started getting out of his crib really early. your in for it with that one lol

It was my misunderstanding.... When I responded to this thread, my comprehension apparently wasn't working the way it should have been. The ladies here corrected me with it.
