Brayden is here! (FINALLY!)

This is a little late but I've been a busy mommy.. 

On Friday May 30th I went to my normal weekly ultrasound/appointment 13 days overdue... Everything looked great on the ultrasound and I waddled along to my appointment with the midwife.. She checked my cervix... Still 1cm 80% effaced... I scrunched up my nose until she told me it was time to get this baby out and asked if I would like to go to the hospital... I practically jumped off the exam table screaming yes.. lol... So she called over to the hospital and I was off to start the induction process... They inserted the cervidil and told me that they would start the pitocin the next morning.. So the waiting process began.. The cervidil ended up working great but prevented me from getting any sleep that night... Because it had sent me into labor on my own they decided to hold off on the pitocin to see if I would progress.. I didn't.. So the pitocin was started and started working quickly at that .. I battled through the contractions until somewhere around 5cm when I started screaming that I couldn't do it anymore and pretty much begged for the epi... They gave me something to take off the intensity of the contractions until the anethesiologist could get there to adminster the epi.. He got there about 10-15 min later and inserted the epi... Talk about heaven... I couldn't feel a single contraction after that and was finally able to get some rest... Hour after hour went by and my son still wasn't dropping down.. I had only progressed to around 6cm.. They decided to stop the pitocin so I could get some rest and to see if Brayden would drop down with things "calmer".. Because my epi had worn off at that point( ) they had the anesthesiologist come back to give me something for the pain so I could sleep... It worked for the pain but I still couldn't sleep... Thanks to all the drugs, penicillin and what not being pumped into me I was now having random puke fests.. At about 1am they came back saying that they were going to do a c-section in about a half hour.. I collapsed in relief at that point while my bf called my mom so she could be there... The c-section went well minus the whole puking on my bf incident.. lol.. Brayden was born at 2:04am on June 1st weighing 9lbs 15.7oz and was 22 1/2 inches long... Only took around 38 hours of labor...

OMG, I only give a "hes cute" comment when I really mean it- because I have seen some ugly babies posted on here that parents think are cute... but I am telling you this much... your baby is SO ADORABLE!!!!

LOL, sorry you took insult to this, but all babies are not cute. Sorry to say it... guess people can't be honest around here? I did not say any particular baby though, and if I don't think a baby is cute, I keep my thoughts to myself... because "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" sticks out in my world. I did not say anything rude directed towards anyone. So chill a bit.

Agreed, my cousins baby is a little funny looking... But this baby is probably the cutest baby I've ever seen, besides how i feel about my own of course. congrats mama, I cant imagine being 13 days overdue!!!! that puts my 8 days to shame lol
