Sleeping All Night In Own Bed?
posted 25th Jan
My almost 4 year old sleeps in her own room, but then wakes up around 1:00am and comes in my bed. I love her with me, but this disrupts my sleep making it hard to get fully rested. I don't sleep well when she comes in my room.
My boyfriend recently moved in with us. He sleep my bed. Although my daughter had this pattern before he moved in, I included this information to provide the "big picture". Not sure if this will slow down progress.
Tips for getting her to sleep all night in her bed? Thanks.

Keep brining her back in her room, it'll probably take a few days and you'll probably be tired. But she'll learn to stay in her bed.

It's hit or miss sometimes for us, but what's worked to keep DD in her bed all night is to keep her from leaving the room in the first place. Some nights it's been a battle , but she eventually gives up or cries for a bit. After 1-2 nights she realizes I won't let her in my bed. If she stays in bed all night, we make a big deal and cheer about it. She also works toward a "prize" to keep her motivated. It usually works. I hope it becomes consistent though. She's going to be 3 soon.
