Ahaha I love sleep talking! My SO does, I can have full conversations (when I'm awake) with his sleep self about whatever he's dreaming about. DD doesn't do it much, but last week sat bolt upright in bed, said 'I'm a pirate, ahoy' and saluted, then went back to sleep   
I can't imagine missing cute stuff like thRif she were on her own in another room!

I'd never be with anyone who would hit my child or who was not supportive of breastfeeding.

I would leave any man that hit my child.

my son is almost two, I'd be passed if someone spanked him for crying how ridiculous. the father needs to learn to act like a grown up

I think parenting styles is something you should know and agree on before you decide to have a child with someone. My husband and I had this discussion while dating. I knew where he stood long before we brought children into the world.

and then he could hit your child anytime he wants during his visitation time.

People just think because they spilt up that their kid would never have to be aroudn their father ever again. If only it were that easy.

I'm surprised how many women on here would just leave. What about going to counseling together or trying parenting classes? That one sentence isn't enough for anyone to know what's really going on. Maybe the guy is young and needs guidance. Or maybe she's one of those overbearing moms that says it her way or the highway and won't let him have any say in parenting styles. Rather then break up a family without addressing the issue, try to stick it out. Otherwise, the issue just follows him to another relationship where you can't monitor what's going on.

I'd find research materials backing my views and ask him to read them and discuss them with me.

Seems a little rash to leave over it. I might not agree with it, but he's not beating or endangering the kid.
