We studied societies that practice cannibalism in my Anthropology class. They've had time to perfect their methods and procedures, they weren't just thrown into the middle of nowhere and had to figure it out on their own. I think thats the key difference.

I just know enough about various oddities that I could survive for awhile.

I read far, far too much and I'm always interested in the anthropological aspects of food and sex. I really have no life. The last fiction I read was a repeat read of Pride and Prejudice.

See books like that hold no interest for me. I like reading about history, especially about ancient civilizations like the Egyptians or the Greeks.

Yuck. Egypt is fine but Greece and Rome are just so boring.

Pretty much. When I say I like history, people are all "Ancient Rome?"

No, you dumbass. History didn't just stop with the fall of the Roman Empire.

My favorite area of history is 14th century to 19th century Europe; specifically England and France.

I never was able to get into that. the only aspect I really liked about it was the royalty. But I really enjoyed reading stories about that time period, I just could never sit down and read it any other way.

Dude... you obviously haven't read about the giant phalluses they carried into the theatres in Greece, or how they'd fill up the Colliseum with water, stick a boat in it, and watch all the people on the boat kill each other.

Tudor-Stuart England is my jam, though. haha

The Roman women used to pin their clothing together with long, sharp sticks, kind of like ice picks. They were made illegal after a while, because of how often messengers got stabbed to death for bringing home bad news about husbands killed in battle.

So there's a little bit of "not so boring" for you.
