My 21st birthday.

Okay,so my mom & aunt want to take me out for my 21st birthday,in May.I told my fiance & he got upset & was like "Well how will I know where you are or what you're doing ?" And I told him if he didn't trust me,then we had no business being together.He said he trusts me,he's just worried about me & wants to make sure I'm safe.But seriously ? I'm going to be with two family members,possibly more.I think he just doesn't want me to drink & cheat,which would never happen anyways.My mom is married,& my aunt has a boyfriend,so why would they put me in that type of situation ? I just don't know what to think of it.I've been taking care of myself since I was 11,I think I can handle a birthday outing without reporting in all the time.
What do you ladies think ?

Yeah that's what I think,but it's strictly a "girls only" kind of thing.I really hope my mom doesn't take me to a male strip club

Me & my mom would be going out the day after my birthday.

1- It sounds like he is jealous, and maybe a bit controlling.

2- It is YOUR birthday. If you are afraid they're going to plan a male stripclub night, make a point of telling them you don't want to do that kind of thing.

3- It is YOUR birthday. They shouldn't be the ones making rules on who can or can not be there. I would definitely want my SO there for my birthday, especially a "big" birthday like that one!

He claims he's not,but acts otherwise.It's annoying,really.He called from work a minute ago & said he was sorry,& that he's just protective over me.I don't know.

I would be super annoyed if that's how my DH acted. He wasn't able to celebrate my 21st with me and he knew not to even try calling or messaging me that night.  

Um, why exactly does he need a play by play of where you are and what you're doing. He sounds very immature and controlling. That's red flag of a lifetime of that sort of behavior.

You're right.He says he's just protective,but he comes off a little controlling sometimes.I lay him out every time & tell him it bothers me,but then he just goes right back to the way he was.And it wouldn't actually be my birthday,but the day after,me & SO are going out on my actual birthday.

I would aks him why he thinks you need protection 24/7. Plenty of women survive without their SO up their behinds every waking moment of the day.

I am too.He's so clingy & needy sometimes.He hates to be away from me.Yet,I wouldn't care if he went out with his friends because I trust him,he just says he'd rather spend time with me.I just want my freedom,I never hung out with friends growing up or drank,so turning 21 is a huge deal for me,since I actually waited.
