Cold remedies during pregnancy?

I am really suffering today with a nasty cold, I have soothers and i am drinking lots of juice but i cant take lempsip or anything like that Does anyone have any good remedies to help me feel better please?

My doctor said it's ok to take Robitussin DM (not CF...ONLY DM), and combined with Vicks rub and cough drops....it helps a TON. I've had the Flu (like...full blown influenza) and bronchitis both since I've been pregnant, and those meds have saved my ass lol

Robitussin. I'm fighting bad strep right now and I'm taking Robitussin to help the cough. It's not the CF it's the regular non alcohol one (doesn't even say DM on it). Along with throat shooters and Tylenol for my fever. Oh also hot tea with honey.

I dont know if its worth mentioning that Im in th UK, is robitussin a cough medicine? I have been told i can use glycerine or simple linctus, and is Tylenol paracetamol? Sorry im not clearon US drug names,

Is honey OK? I know you cant give it to under 1's because of thebee botulism, Sorry im so paranoid about anything and everything at the minute, We literally just crept out of tri1 and im so scared, Thanks re the tea and garlic though i will give it a bash   x

Tylenol is paracetamol, which you can take while pregnant. Robitussin is a cough medicine. The active ingredient is dextromethorphan, so I would just look for it under than name, or ask the chemist for something with that in it.

I never wanted to take any medicine while pregnant, though. These always helped me: http://www.food.com/recipe/dr-pats-hot-toddy-cold-remedy-234344 . Instead of the whiskey, use apple cider vinegar.
If you're congested, take a warm shower, or just go into your bathroom and turn the shower on really hot so it steams up the room and sit in the bathroom for awhile.
Other than that, lots of rest and fluids.

Totally missed that part. Robitussin is a cough syrup that works wonders. Here, Tylenol is acetominaphin but I *THINK* it is the same as paracetamol....NOT sure completely though. It's totally safe when pregnant and is a fever reducer/pain reliever.
