Why is my body so weird?

posted 25th Jan
Ok so I ovulated about a week or so ago, and since then I have had a bladder infection. I finally got on top of that and now I have a yeast infection. I'm kinda freaking myself out because I googled about yeast infections and a lot of women said they had yeast infections and then found out they were pregnant. I just wanted to hear if anyone else has had similar experiences. I have not taken any antibiotics and this is my second yeast infection, I had a severe one at the end of my last pregnancy. Please no mean replies, I just want to hear if anyone has had anything similar happen to them.

Sure, you may be pregnant.

Or you may just have gotten a yeast infection.

I have a dear friend who gets a yeast infection following almost every UTI.

If you were on antibiotics for the bladder infection then that could explain the yeast infection.. My mom gets a yeast infection everytime she goes on then off antibiotics.

how did you get rid of a bladder infection without antibiotics?

yeast infections... you can get them any time. Yes, more common during pregnancy.. but that doesnt' mean you're pregnant.

if you're worried.. take a test

There are a LOT of homeopathic/naturepathic remedies for UTIs. As long as you catch it early you can totally treat it at home.

The bad thing about antibiotics, is if you take them all the time, they get less and less and less effective, so you need stronger and stronger and stronger medications. If you treat with natural remedies instead, your body is more likely to respond to antibiotics when you DO actually NEED them.

UTI's are a bacterial infection. Typically.. antibiotics are necessary. This is coming from someone who gets them regularly, and has tried everything ever recommended, and sees a urologist. IF left untreated.... you run the risk of a kidney infection, or worse a systemic infection.

I'm all for at home remedies for many things... but not for bacterial infections. Just like I wouldn't treat strep at home either..

A UTI, bacterial or not, is still something that CAN be treated without antibiotics. I get them frequently, too - 9 times out of 10 I can get rid of them without antibiotics.

I've had uti's before and as soon as I felt this one coming on I jumped on it. I'm notorious for not drinking enough so I start drinking tons of water and cranberry juice first, to help flush out the infection. I haven't taken any antibiotics but if it comes back I will deffenently being making a trip to the dr. And it's to soon to take a test. But if I don't get a visit from AF by next week ill take a test. I'm pretty sure I'm just siking myself out.
