I cannot handle this anymore.

posted 25th Jan
I am honestly starting to smurfing lose it with LO. Not only does he REFUSE to potty train but he has been peeing on me. I do not know what to do. He is three and I need advice to get him to stop. He knows he is doing it and timeouts don't work. He isn't attached to any toys so that doesn't work either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My advice, don't get upset or punish for having an accident, ever. Potty training incorrectly can have a lasting negative affect on a person, sexually and other wise.

It's not an accident though. He is purposely doing it.

It still doesn't matter, do not punish.

He sill just may not be ready. Is he in undies or pull ups/daipers?

Ready to not pee on me? He's in pullups. Peeing on me is NOT acceptable. How can you possibly think that it is?

I know you said taking toys away doesn't help, but does he watch TV? If so, try taking that away. Hope you figure something out soon!

And how long have you been potty training for? Do you use stickers/toys or positive reinforcement when he actually does go in the potty?

How old is he? Have you tried grabbing him when he starts peeing on you and running him to the bathroom?

We're not really potty training because he's not ready. I try to catch him.before he poops but that's it. I haven't been pressing the issue.

I never said it was acceptable, I said just do not punish for it. Tell him every single time that pee goes in the potty, not on mommy and not in your undies. If he's in pull ups, how does he pee on you (not trying to sound rude, I'm just trying to get knowledge so I can give advice).

He does it usually while I'm sleeping or if we're laying down together.

So he pulls down his pull up and aims his weiner at you? I'm just not sure how you know that he's peeing on you on purpose if you're sleeping.

He pulls the leg hole part to the side or the front part down and pees.

Does he pull his pull up off then to do it?
