What is the proper rule for naming a child the same name as your sister's nieces. My sister would have two nieces the same name, but they are not in relation to us (other side) and we see them maybe twice a year. We are on facebook together lol but thats it. Do what you want? or no way?

If YOU are not actually related then who cares.....I had my bd's mom tell me I was not allowed to name my baby (if a boy) Liam since she had a nephew named Liam, I was like smurf you bitch...my kid my decision. lol

No rule, its your choice if its what you like.

Name her whatever you want, its your daughter who cares what someone else named their child. You said you're not close and you never see them so I don't see how it can be an issue.

I mean, I personally am like OCD about names. If I even know someone with a name I like, I can't name my child it. Not because I feel bad, though. Just because my mind can't separate my child with the person I know and it would be very weird for me. You have every right if you like the name, though. It's not like it's your sisters name or anything lol

I like Natalie Joy, the others just seem too nicknamish for my liking.

Everyone's voting natalie..thats the one that is the same haha, i think since we are so close we are still waiting until shes born to see if we think it fits best or one of the others..but im not sure levi fit him when he was a newborn, my boys names are isaac and levi so anna seemed most traditional/Bible..flowed with them but my husband really likes natalie and it was a favorite of mine when I was little(named my baby dolls it)

if you're not close with the other girl, i wouldn't worry about it.. your sister can always call your daughter a nickname...

I have a hard time finding names that i don't associate with other people or their children..it's been hard to find a name that i didn't know anyone with the name of.. i'm just weird like that.. if it's a stranger i don't care, but if its a friend, cousin, ect. i won't...

my bestie and i chose the same boy name.. we're both pregnant and due within weeks of one another.. she's having a boy & i'm not sure what my baby is yet, so if it's a boy i chose a different name just go be nice.

I wouldn't really find an issue. They aren't relatives and you see them 2 times a year... I wouldn't worrt about it. I like Anna Joy

I wouldn't worry about your sister's in law's naming their child the same name.

I also didn't vote because I can't decide! I love *ALL* of your first name options (mainly Anna and Natalie), but I think Natalie Joy sounds the best together.

I personally wouldn't do it if I saw them twice a year, but I wouldn't think it was weird if someone did it....if that makes sense?
