You will be perfectly fine! I've been a single mom since my daughter was 6 months old and now I can't even imagine having to co-parent.

Pick yourself up momma, your baby girl needs you to be strong, You'll be FINE. DS' 'dad' walked out when I was 11 weeks pregnant with my son and I made it through just fine, so will you...

I don't have any experience raising a child alone, but I have had experience with smurffy men & I will tell you that if he could leave you & the baby with you not having a job or a way to support yourself ---- you do NOT need that douchebag. I couldn't think of anything more selfish to do to your child.

I can tell you that my mom raised both my sister and me when my dad walked out on us. She was 27, with 2 kids under the age of 3 and no job. She got help from friends & family, but it wasn't enough, so she swallowed her pride & asked for welfare. She always taught us that it was a helping hand, not a hand out --- she got her GED, went to business school & got her associate's degree and has worked in banking ever since. My sister & I never wanted for anything --- in fact, we didn't even know we were poor until we went to school and some idiot kid told us we were! lol We were loved & adored & well cared for --- that's all that matters. You CAN do this.

Oh hell yeah I was scared. My first trimester was a disaster, 4 threatened miscarriages, the last being the day that dumb ass left me and his unborn son, I thought I was going to lose my baby and my 'love'. The best advice I can give you is to go ahead and start the child support and custody process, file for emergency full custody first off, that will help you in the long run

Of course I was scared. I had no job, no money really since my ex spent it all on drugs. I have gotten lots of help from family. My advice is to put all feelings for him aside and do what is best for your child. And be sure to cover all bases just in case. Don't be afraid to ever ask for help either and know that you are not alone.

With my daughter I wish her dad would go away!!! Seems that no dad would be better than a crappy ass dad who never answers her calls or calls her back and always breaks his promises to her.
