Nervous about birth

posted 7th Jun
Hey everyone, Liz here. I'm 17, and new here, so I thought I'd introduce myself first

So, right now, I'm thinking two things. One, how incredibly excited I am to be having not one, but two lovely babies this September. However, that leads me to the following though, how unbelievably nervous I am about it. Right now things are going just fine, and my ob/gyn and I are planning on a vaginal birth, but the thought of it is kind of scaring me right now. I guess I'll probably be more sure about it when the time comes, but right now I'm worried I won't be ready for it.

Anybody else have any thoughts on the matter?

labor is the easy part. being pregnant is the part that sucks. i hihghly reccommend that you get an epidural. otherwise, youll just be so excited that theyre coming and youll get to meet them and NOT be pregnant anymore that you wont notice the pain, youll enjoy it. but seriously. epidural = looove.

Lilke La Bella Vita said Epidurals = Love. Seriously. I didn't feel a thing the whole time I was in labor after I got one. And I had a 9lbs 2oz baby boy. Still didn't feel a thing. I was sleeping in between pushes, thats how good mine was. =]

I'm nervous too. I have decided to get an epidural though. I think that is best for me since I am a baby when it comes to pain and I want to enjoy my labor. And congrats on the twins.

Once you get into labor, trust me, you'll be begging for an epi.

a lot of people say that, and then understimate the overwhelming pain of labor. personaly, so your birth is more enjoyable and maybe faster, due to the fact that youre not tense, i wouldnt rule out an epidural.

Lynnea's birth was totally unexpected, but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.. Before, the thought of it all scared me to death.. But It really wasn't scary at all.. well, the fact that it was 15wks early was kind of scary.. xP But the actually hurting (which it didn't really hurt, just the contractions did) was like nothing.
