I found it funny.

See I find all the dick stuff funny, like "ill eat a dick" etc...
But the illegal immigrants (australians call them boat people), I found very offensive. Many people have died in that way and to make light of it was way out of line.
Immigration is a contentious issue here to start with.


He also had matches called 'dick heads' and cheese called 'dick cheese'. No one bought the cheese! lol

Oh and the ad does not meet australian censorship standards and so won't be shown here. I think because of the boat issue.

Aussies will make jokes about everything, the ad was not making fun of those that die and it's not like in the ad there's dead bodies everywhere and the survivors came to shore and dick told them "smurf off we're full" ... It might not have been in great taste but damn the ad was making fun of "dick" lol. I don't think he intended it to be offensive it's just part of Australia, but it seems these days no matter what you do people will always get offended.

BTW I love that all profits go to charity, that is awesome!

I know, I just felt the imagery of a burning boat was distasteful.

SO showed me the ad yesterday and I don't know why but the bit where the old lady says "There's only one dick i'll be eating on Australia day" the eating bit was bleeped out. So it was "There's only one dick i'll be ______ on Australia day". In my dirty mind I thought the site bleeped it out because she was saying "There's only one dick i'll be smurfing on Australia day" Haha.
