you can not have that behaviour around your son.. no matter what u feel for the guy. plus u deserve better.

I know it's hard, but you shouldn't feel bad for calling the cops. You did the right thing for you and your son.

He shouldn't have put his hands on you...but, why did you start packing his stuff up right away? Sounds like you both need to work on the issues you have.
If he was trying to tell you that something wasn't right maybe you should have listened instead of telling him to leave and packing his stuff.

Where do you go from here? You walk away, and never look back.
He chokes you out in front of your son for calmly telling him to do what he needs to do; do you really think that he won't hurt your son one day?

he has "issues?" If you mean his issue he is an abuser I guess then. She should have listened to him? I do not think so, OP you did nothing wrong, HE was in the wrong when he put his hands on you. Good for you for calling the police and pressing charges!

I tried talking to him and getting him to talk to me but he insisted he was leaving and told me he hopes I die and rot in hell among other pleasant things. When he says he's leaving, there is NO changing his mind.

You need to leave him. If not for yourself, then for your son. You are his mother; it's your job to protect him.

I'm not with him, I called the cops and pressed charges and he's gone....

my ex boyfriend grew up with his dad beating his mom so he took it as its ok. I went thru 3 years of the abuse before he put me in the hospital. He got a 200 fine and his mom told me and my parents it was all my fault. Stay the smurf away from him for your sons sake. Apparently he doesn't care if he scares the hell out of your son.
