nexplanon

So I got the nexplanon on the 7th of jan and had unprotected sex 5 days later.. I'm just wondering if I could be pregnant? I feel like I did with my first pregnancy.. I should of got my period a week ago and I have light cramps but its like they were with my first pregnancy, im breaking out like crazy, im supper moody and constipated. Im just curious to know if its possible.

So It's been 2 weeks. I don't think you would have those symptoms already. It's probablt from the bc.

I have the nexplanon and have had it for over a year. I haven't got a single period since it being inserted. I have to test regularly though.

If you haven't got your period I'd test. And if you continue to miss it, I'd start testing regularly.

It's a hormonal based BC. It will through your body out of wack for a week or so til you get used to it and it adapts. Your body is treating it like its a foreign object at first.

So you may be feeling the effects of this.

But if you're concerned about being pregnant after having sex so quickly after insertion then I'd test to put your mind at ease.

Yes, they told me to use condoms for at least 7 days after I got my nexplanon
