Only thing I can suggest is go file for child support.

Take him to court.

We agreed upon an amount, and he is now refusing to pay me anything. It's a lovely smurfing situation....  .

Set it up so the money gets taken automatically out of his paychecks.

Save yourself the heartache and hassle of dealing with a smurftart.

Sadly even if you take him to court & have it taken out of his checks he can always quit his job & try working under the table. M y ex tried that a few times cuz he said they were taking to many payments out at once. Plus if he doesn't pay they is the chance of jail time for him. But If he won't pay now you can really only take him to court. No many other choices for you.

Just wondering, aside from him not paying child support is he a good father to your baby? Does he want time with the baby and want to be involved. I think if he is and does then thats the most important factor. And if he doesnt show any interest in the baby then just eliminate him and his money from the picture all together. It maybe better that he stays completely away if he is a deadbeat dad.

Nope.
Lives 9 hours away by choice to be with a girl he met 7 months ago. Sees our son 3-4 times a year. Never calls, never texts, never asks about him.

I'm sorry hun but in my opinion I think you should forget about him. I am not speaking from experience, this is just my professional opinion. If he only see's his son a few times a year then screw him. He is the one missing out. I am so sorry for your son, because he is the one that will be left wondering why but if I were in your shoes, I would say if you dont want to be an active part of our childs life then dont come around at all.

It very well could be. Mine worked as a mechanic under the table so it wouldnt come outta his check. But he had finally gotten 2 cooking jobs making good money so he was paying both his babys mothers child support before he died. But he never did end up in jail over it. The jails were to crowded for small offenses i suppose. It sucks. And ur kinda just stuck really.
