Yes! I wore them with my uniform for jrotc as well. My slacks and my skirt was very fitted.

my five year old needs thongs, when she's stripping, no one wants to put dollar bills into her little mermaid granny panties.

Yes. Much too sexy for a kid. Doesn't sound like they'd be very comfortable or hygienic either.

I wasn't aware they made them that small.
But regardless, yes, I would. They're just underwear. Personally I'm most comfortable wearing thongs. I don't care what underwear, if any, my kids wear. They're potty trained and have good hygiene.

If they're wearing appropriate clothes, no one will see what underwear, if any, they have on anyway. It's a non-issue.

No thongs until DD is AT LEAST 16. Some things have to be earned through years on this earth, and THAT is one of them haha. When she has a job, she can buy things I don't "approve" of on her own. However, I'm still going to keep rules in the house....those rules being adhered to is another matter entirely though.

6, absolutely not. I never even owned a thong until I was 17 years old. Then again, I wasn't interested in anything the other girls were interested in, still not to this day. I'm only 23 by the way, so I'm not an ancient relic LOL I've just never been a follower.

I don't get all this issue with panty lines. Boy shorts serve the same purpose/function I've never worn g-strings (tried them & felt like an all day wedgy & yes I tried at lead 5 different styles, still don't understand the "comfort" claim) & I wouldn't buy them for my kids. If panty lines are an issue then I'll buy boy shorts or you can go commando - I do half the time anyway as does my 5 yr old Ds - lol.

Also those that are all for g-string seem to imply in this thread that there are only 2 choices, g-string or granny panties. If you really believe that you need to expand where you shop...

I keep wondering....what 6 year old even worries about panty lines? I never even THOUGHT about that until around 17 years old....Kids need to be kids, no need to wear butt floss so soon lol

We didnt have skirts (well the honor platoon did but I didnt like HP). I was platoon leader so I had to wear my uniform all day. Since I was a leader I got the pick of some of the better pants but they were still annoying, so thongs it was! And when you have a wedgie in those pants with the tucked in shirt, you are smurfed. So again, thongs it was!

I don't care about pantie lines lol. I've never worn a thong, for the longest time I thought they were just for sex, because who the hell in their right mind wants to wear a string in their butt? Plus I tried one on once and the pants rubbing on my buttcheeks was annoying as hell.

I do think that 6 is too young though. Kids that young shouldn't be thinking about what kind of underwear they are wearing, that's gotta be the parents choice, and that's just weird. It's kinda like Farrah trying to wax her 3 yr olds eyebrows.. Sophie doesn't care what her eyebrows look like, that's her moms stupidness. In the same sense, a 6 year old should NOT care what kind of underwear they are wearing and parents who buy thongs for their 6 yr olds are doing it more for themselves, because they think it's "cute" or for whatever reason i really don't know.
