Child Support.

I was with my BD for 3 years, and when I got pregnant he then decided to tell me that he and his family aren't legal here. I don't know what to do about child support if he doesn't have a social security number. I don't want to black mail him by saying if he doesn't pay then I'll turn him in, but I feel like that may be the only option in being able to support my LO. He left me when I was 3 months pregnant, and has treated me like crap ever since, and I dont plan on him being in LOs life because of various reasons. But about the child support...
Any ideas on what I should do about it?

call domestic relations and ask them how they go about getting child support from illegals

Will the child be born in Japan? Ajapenese citizen? I'm sure Japan has a child support system, too. And someway to identify their citizens, although its probably not called a soc sec number.

As far as I'm aware, you can still collect child support from him if he is illegal.

Oh, my bad. Hahah. When she was saying "here" I thought that's where she was referring to. I guess I interpreted it as her saying that she and the baby were illegal "there." Durrr.
