Nursery for two

posted 24th Jan
I need ideas! Were laying foundation for our house with income tax money, and i still havent decided what i want to do as far as the girls room(s). I can do two small rooms, or one large one. Well be adding on later, but for now thats my choices. Theyll be downstairs, and well have a loft style master suite upstairs. If i did do the one large room, are there any other mommies that have a nb and an older child of the same sex, that share a room? How did you do decoration, and space management, and whatnot? If youve done that, did you wish you had them in separate rooms, or was it easier with them in the same one? And if you have pics that would be appreciated, as far as where the beds went, and the closets/storage areas.

Personally I woud go with 2 smaller rooms. You may think you'll be adding on but what if it never happens and when they get older dont want to share a room? I'd rather have a smaller room to myself then a bigger one to share!

this! and they can share for the first- however long you want them to... but then at least you'll have the option to change it fast to two rooms if you want/need to.

I do know DH wants an inter-connecting walk through closet if we do two. What do you think?

Our girls share a room. They're 4 years apart. We did pink & grey for their bedding, decorations & paint. The room is basically split in half, bed/crib are on opposite walls, so there is plenty of space to play in the middle. One dresser is in the closet, since their clothes are so short...it seemed like a waste of space to not put it in there. The changing table/dresser for baby is in the bonus space between our room & theirs, so it is easy to access. We waited until the baby was sleeping through the night before putting her in with big sissy, since she needs her sleep for school.
