after pregnancy

posted 24th Jan
in 10 days PP and i cry about eeeeeeverything.. i'm already bipolar but im not getting angry or any of the bipolar mood swings.. i'm just smurfing sad. It has nothing to do with my baby. but, everything thing else. talking to my mom about her watching my child for a little bit will make me cry. simple things like that. Does it always have to be PPD or does the sudden drop in pregnancy hormones cause this? I can literally sit here and just cry, i have absolutely no appetite. i eat one granola bar all day long or maybe a apple sauce cup and that's it.

I'd say if your crying over everything PPD, yes. I was so exhausted I was hallucinating but didn't cry every day and didn't feel sad. Everyone is different but it sounds like PPD to me. U need to call n tell ur doc about your feelings and maybe c what he says.

Keep an eye on it and ask your doctor but your hormones are pretty out of wack I cried quite a bit and I by no means cry very often. Not being hungry was normal for me, I actually had a timer or my boyfriend remind me when to eat to get 3 meals a day cause I just wasn't hungry

i see a psychiatrist for my bipolar already, maybe she could help more. I have no bad thoughts or anything, no bad feeling towards my son either. i will just cry about stupid stuff.

I cried a lot after my second. It went away eventually but with you having bipolar might make you more susceptible to ppd I would speak to your Dr just in case.

yeah ppd doesn't necessarily mean your upset with your baby it's just something that happens to many women after they have there babies. It may just be hormones and bi polar. Do u smoke weed? Wait do u live in California?

no, i live in Nebraska. i havent smoked weed in over 2 years but last night i smoked a tiny bit with my SO. it wasn't enough to be super high, just enough to sleep better.

I'd just keep an eye on how much you seem to get worked up. I know after I had my son I would have depressed days and it was getting over whelming. I'd cry a lot at night when everyone was sleeping, and anytime someone offered to help when I didn't need it. I by no means had horrible thoughts like most PPD but I was just over worked and very tired. I found venting even if to myself worked very well. I'd just get on here and type like I had something to say but never posted it lol. If you think it's getting out of hand just talk with your doctor. At my 6 week appointment that's one of the main things they focused on and I wasn't really having the lows like I did come month 2.

I don't smoke right now since I'm pregnant. But I got my card for anxiety and smurf like that. It helps so much. People think its all for fun but damn it's a god send! I would suggest it ;)

i was a mess for the first 2-3 weeks every thing made me cry (i'm also bipolar ) i was told that its normal and just caused by the crazy hormone change mixed with stress and lack of sleep. but if i was still feeling like that by my 6 week PP visit then we would need to talk about PPD / medication.
