Um... it feels like giving blood? Not like an I.V... I can handle an I.V. But when you're giving blood, you have to pump a stress ball in your hand (or act like you are) and that makes me so queasy.

It would be more like an IV because they insert a larger bore needle (much larger than standard IV size) and often they use butterflies for blood draws.

You could always try   I've passed out every single time... and they had to put a cool washcloth on my forehead and sprayed some really nasty smelling crap up my nose, then made me cough. But I still prevail   I have O+ blood type, so I know they need it (they call me constantly)... so I bare through it

Yes, unless you have an IV places for severe trauma, etc

Girrrrl, I screamed getting this repierced

Just try it! The worst part is them putting the needle in, but just don't watch them do it. And don't watch as you're pumping the stress ball. Seeing all of that blood is what makes me pass out

If you know anything about gauge sizes, I want to say they use a 14g. Your traditional IV is a 20, often an 18 in OB.

lol. it wasn't till a couple of wks ago that i managed to look at my arm when having blood drawn. got queasy looking at the i.v. sight when having DD. it's not so bad as long as i don't watch the needle going in. just feel like i'm being a big baby.

is it weird that idk my blood type?
