Tell me about your minivan!

posted 24th Jan
What kind is it? What do you like/dislike about it? Tell me all the important stuff ;-)

We'll be trading in our Commander for a minivan at some point in the near future (hopefully). Right now I'm mostly looking at Siennas and Town & Countries, but I'm totally open to other suggestions. Odysseys are also high on my list, and DH likes Routons. Huge feature I'm looking for is captains chairs in the middle row that scoot back because we'll barely use the third row and we'll have two RFing car seats so having a lot of space between the first and middle row is important (we need lots of leg room  ).

The obvious choice is the swagger wagon. I know nothing more than that.   Is J loving the idea of a minivan?

I have a dodge grand carivan, I absolutely love it. The doors in the back are automatic which is awesome when you have two little ones. And it has tons of leg room in the back and front.

Hahaha, that's the T&C, right? And no. Well, actually, ya know what? He says he's not and that he'll never drive it, but I got a call from a dealership today because he emailed about one of them   I think he hates the idea of a minivan, but will actually love the smurf out of it when we get one.

Love our Chrysler. Stow and Go, Captains Chairs, tailgating chairs (fold the back seats down so they face out) comfortable seating. There are so many options with the seats. With the stow and go, you can fold all the seats in the rear two rows down in the ground. Or you can use the storage under the front floor in the middle row and have access with the seats being used easily. Or you can put any combination of the seats folded down. Decent gas mileage.

If we trade in, we'll get either another Chrysler or a dodge caravan. They are the same van, but the dodge is cheaper because it's not the 'luxury' brand of the two.

My family just rented a Town & Country when they were in town. That thing was BEAUTIFUL on the inside !! It seemed to drive really well, it had two pop down dvd screens & a nice touch screen stereo. I loved it!

I want one because my friend has one and I rode in it once and was like "OOOOH BACKUP CAMERA!" I should really be leaving the decision making to the grownups, but unfortunately none live here

We have a chrysler pacifica it isnt new but we have had it a while and the only thing we have had to do is change the oil. it has navigation for me and dvd entertainment for my lo. it fits rear facing carseats amazing! 2 captains chairs in the middle and a bench that seats 2 in the back so fits 6. I thought this was an suv until we registered it and its considered a minivan/wagon. i love it and wouldnt trade it for the world!

We just got a Town & Country a couple months ago, if that.
I was really wary about joining the van-moms, but it's interior and features definitely make it worth it.

Basically what the others are saying about it is all i would say too
They're just..great. I love the extra space and how easy it is to get everyone in 'n out.

Do the T&Cs have captains chairs you can scoot back? Or do they stay in the same position. (Not recline wise, but front to back.)
