re: Tell me about your minivan!

I currently have a 2004 Ford Freestar. It's not the one I wanted but at the time it was what we could afford. I'm trying to talk hubs into trading it in so we can get a town and country!  

We have a town and country With the swivel and go seats . They slid back some but just enough to put the seats in rear facing. We're not sure well be able to put our carrier in whe the new baby comes and my son rf because of my husband neededing the seat farther back. Over all we love our van. I love that the doors have openers and the storage . Ours has the back up cam and touch screen display. We have two fold down DVD players as well. We love our van. No serious issues and were the third owners I believe. It's only and 07 too so the other people didn't have it to long.

Are you dead set on a van? I own an SUV, it's a Toyota Highlander and it's seriously AWESOME. It does okay on gas (for an SUV) and it seats 7. The seats slide and the back row folds down for extra storage when I go grocery shopping or need to stick a stroller back there. I have his huge Size 4 Me Graco seat rear facing in the back on the passenger side and it fits just fine. When I traded in my car, I wasn't quite ready to join the "van moms" quite yet so we went with this bigger SUV which I don't think we'd have issues with even if we had another kid...or two.

That was SUPER helpful! Thank you! We both keep our seats pretty far back, so with 2 RFing seats (one being an infant seat) I'm really worried about space.

Yeah, I'm pretty set on a van. Our SUV now has the capability to seat 7, but we just need more room. DH is military and our closest family lives about 7 hours away. His side lives 15+ hours away so we end up traveling a good bit. It's tight now with just 1 kid, 2 dogs, the two of us, and luggage. Plus I'm really excited about having sliding doors haha.
