DH told me when he showed his coworkers pics of me, they told him I was "hott" and that because of that I must be stupid and wild. And that they made fun of me like that before they ever met me. DH said they were jealous and he shut them up. But it kinda pissed me off.

Yeah that's rude. And who is he to say? Does he look like Ryan Gosling or something?
My feelings would be hurt too

My feelings would be hurt,I'm very self conscious.My fiance is very protective over me though,he hates it when guys look at me,it's really cute because then he pulls me in a little closer & starts kissing me lol.He's pretty crazy about me

He is not good looking based on the opinions of my friends and family, but no matter what I think he is handsome and I love him with all my heart. No matter what I would never call him "okay" or "alright looking" when someone makes a comment about him, my first words are well you don't love him like I do and he is hot to me...that's how I feel I should be seen in his eyes too

My feelings would really be hurt if DH ever said something like that about me.

A lot of guys I know of dont want someone super high maintenance but its like an ego boost knowing that other guys want your girl... what a dick thing to say.

He should want to make you feel beautiful, no matter what. I'm not overweight (being as I have not had a child yet), and one time I went to my husband so upset because I noticed I was getting chubbier looking and was out of shape. He laughed and told me I was crazy and beautiful how I am. I wasn't happy still so he said I can help you get in shape so you'll be happy, too. He took me to the gym and taught me exercises. Not that what your husband did was HORRIBLE, but he could have chosen a better route!

I'd be pissed, and very hurt.
I know I'm not the best looking but my husband always tells me that I'm the hottest girl he's ever seen, how beautiful I am, etc etc etc

He knows i'm on a diet right now, like seriously a tough diet and I fit in workouts in the gym on my lunch break at work so he knows how hard i'm working to get back to where I was before my children and like you said, a better route could have been taken.

You are better than me... I would quit working out or anything if DH said whats yours did to you... But you are pretty anyway

Then he should also be supportive of that too. He should have been like "I don't consider you anything less than beautiful and amazing.. Don't you worry about that!".... Just pretend that's what he said.

Yes I think it was insensitive what he said, but he can't make you feel anyway. If you felt as strongly as you did then maybe you need to re-vamp yourself a bit to feel better. I am not in any way saying you need to (I am also pretty over weight and not doing a good job loosing it) but if your unhappy about it then the only person that can change that is you. Start with little things like walking everyday, or taking something you don't need out of your diet (I drink a lot of lattes and they have so much fat in them because of the cream). Also it might make you feel better if you buy a couple of cute articles of clothing that flatter your body type and make you feel like a million bucks! Also try buying some special body wash or bath stuff that you like and take a day to give yourself a homemade spa. You can even make face masks with stuff from your kitchen. All the little things really make a difference in making yourself feel happy and healthy.

My DH is blunt like that too. I am the same way. Had my DH called me "average" I probably would have punched him in the face.

my SO frigging calls me sexy/beautiful/hot when i'm like greasy snd gross looking in pj pants with s messy bun on my head lol i actually hatee it because i know he's just saying it.
he'd get dead if he called me average though. lol
