re: Sigh. Maternity Photos.

you guys alone are really cute! but like the other mommas said the backgrounds and lighting should have been done differently. i think if she had used a darker background that they may have been better.

Maybe if you talk to her she can redo them because i wouldnt pay for something i dont like. and if she wont redo them ask her to at least Edit them another way and try to make them darker. around the edges which would help some with the lighting

I did and most of their work was outdoor and that looked fine. I think indoor pictures are really hard to do and I had a bad feeling they weren't going to be very good. I should have canceled and found someone else. The thing is I refuse to hire someone who won't give me rights to all the photos to print them whenever I want and most photographers charge out the ass for printing rights.

I think the one of your son smiling really hard in front of you is SO adorable, he is so stinkin' cute! I don't care too much for the editing but the pictures are really cute!

I'm so afraid of hurting her feelings that I don't want to tell her I don't like them. We only spend $150 on them, but that was literally ALL the money we had right now and I may very well go into labor in the next couple of days if I'm not right now so I can't have them redone. Ugh. I've been so emotional all day and this is just making me want to cry. I should have known better.

I'm sorry but $150 down the drain on something you do not like. I would tell her that you don't like them and either redo them for free or give you your money back. That's YOUR money and you are an Unsatisfied customer. If she wants to build her career then she will do ANYTHING to make you THE CUSTOMER happy.

I didnt even get maternity photos taken....just used my own camera...and cell phone.

I think they look pretty and you can ask for the originals to be redited.

Just get your fav. photographer back for birth/nb photos

Don't stress Mama you have a beautiful family!

Yeah indoor pictures are a lot harder because you need the perfect lighting, which can be hard to get. These pictures are very light. Did she use an extra backlight? I think you should mention ti her how you're not happy how they came out, and hopefully she'll either retake them for you for free, or give you your money back, or at least some of it back.

I think they are cute pics... but in my opinion, they don't look professional. If I'd paid for them, I wouldn't be happy either. They look like they were done by someone just starting out in photography. But they are still cute photos! Love the one of the 3 of you kissing!

From a photographers standpoint yes they look very cheap....like they wwere taken in someone's home.

I'd ask for your money back but dont go asking for the unedited photos to edit yourself. Despite how bad the photographer is thats a slap in the face tto a photographer and most likely violates their contract if you signed one. It definitely violates copyright law.

This is the quality I'm USED to and she's cheaper too.

I'm just so afraid of confrontation. Thanks, mom   I don't know when we're supposed to meet to get the disc of images but if I don't chicken out like I usually do I'll try to figure out if she'll allow me to edit them or give me my money back or something.

I'm sorry but I wouldn't pay for those either. They're nice but look like snapshots from a family barbecue or something.

I just think you need to look for aa better photographer. A good photographer who is in business will NOT be cheap, but their talent, work, and time is 100% worth the outcome.

In my opinion those are amateur photos and she shouldn't be charging for her work.

That's what I wanted for those pictures. She also did our wedding photos and did an amazing job. She always captures the shot and never misses the smiles and that's what is the most important to me. This photographer missed every smile DS had that day because she was trying to wait to get a 20 month old to pose like that was actually going to happen and then she over edited the crap out of them.

It was a lifestyle session. We played with DS and she took pictures. That's what we hired her for. She also took this

which is a million times better than those maternity photos.
