What a jerk! My ped and ob both recommended the shot...ummmmm.no thanks.

Btw... My mom who rarely gets sick decided to get the flu vaccine thisyear, and got the flu and pneumonia.

Hope your little guy gets to feeling better soon.

Wow what a jerk. I get A the shot just because it can shorten the symptoms.   She had rsv for nearly 3 weeks followed up with pneumonia so even the slight chance of it shortening/lessening them makes me happy. lol I can't believe that jerk would push it on you like that though

The flu shot is so iffy IMO. The shot has a mercury based preservative. The inhaled one does not. But, it is our right as parents to decide what we want and don't want to do.

He gave me an earful because he didn't get the "influenza vaccine" and because he's not up to date on his other shots. I told him my stance and that it was on purpose and that's when he nearly fell out of his chair.

I've talked with our ped. Based on our family history's and that is what is best for us. And I'm content with our decision. I don't judge other families. Because I know we are making a very taboo choice.

Cylus doesn't get the flu vaccine usually (except this year for some reason I was like ehhh whatever) I think honestly next year I'm just skipping it all together. /shrug. Oh and A isn't up to date on her shots either. Our new ped was like are you gonna finish her out on them. I was like ehhh I'll think about it once we get her Excema under control.

Some peds are much better than others. I respect a dr. Who will tell me like it is, but also respect my choices as a mother. KWIM?

Yea the last 2 peds we have had I've been lucky! The last one is actually why we aren't "on schedule" because she did a delayed vac routine which is good by me, but then after A's legs started breaking out so bad we decided to hold off. Well that ped was over an hour away and that just wasn't working anymore

I drive 45 minutes because I love ours. Not so much when I get stuck with a few who are taking his same day appts and he's not in. I guess it would be at least 45 min. Either way we drove because we are in a small town. If I had the choice I might go closer lol save the gas and time.

don't have a liscense. When I was with the kids' dad I was working a full time 40+ hr a week job and going to school full time. Had maybe on a good day 15 minutes to make it from a place that took 20 minutes to get to work from school. Since he was sitting on his ass not doing anything I gave him the money to go pay it and didn't realize it had lapsed and yea.   Sucks but I'm getting it back come tax time but I don't know if I'll drive. I get nervous really easily.

My niece has that. Really bad. I keep trying to tell her, just got to get used to it. It's hard- but then you aren't stuck trying to find a ride or limited on what you can do and when. I never even got my license until I was 21 and only drove the back roads for a year or more.

Yea I'm terrified of 18 wheelers, my breaks going out, and a few other things. Most are from it happening and yea. I just have really bad anxiety in general.

Do you keep up on safety checks? Tune up? Tires? If you keep up on maintenance it should be safe to drive.
