Quoting Vivian [♥]:" I'm sorry How do they monitor that? Are you just sitting there with a broken sac hoping for no infection as long as you can? I've never had my water break prematurely."
Pretty much. I have ultrasounds twice a week to check on fluid levels and baby, and they monitor his HB twice a day for 20 mins and take my temp and blood pressure like 6 times a day.
They're also measuring his growth every few weeks because on top of the rupture, I have a partial placental abruption so I'm bleeding and they want to make sure the placenta is still working well enough to keep him growing.
It's honestly a waiting game. It's been 2 weeks and 5 days since I ruptured, and they told me I had approx. 20% chance of making it past the first week but they really didnt expect me to. Well, here I am. Hoping to make it all the way.
