getting cold. (parts tmi. no pics)

ever since i was a teen (possibly younger i just cant remember) whenever i get cold my stomach starts to really hurt and i get really runny bowel movements..

my mom and i both have raynauds disease.. its where we cant handle cold items without physically hurting. i grew up knowing my mom had it. and i found out when DS was 3 months because i got a job in a cooler (stocking sodas milk and alcohol) and got frost bite in the middle of the summer even while wearing gloves and it being 100 degrees outside.

my question is, how can i stay warm?! i hate constantly having to find bathrooms and bundling up. theres times that SO and DS are in nothing but shorts and im having to be in sweats and jackets and blankets. if i stay warm enough im fine. but every few days i get cold to the point im doubled over with my stomach hurting until i go to the bathroom and then bundle up again. this has woken me up in the middle of the night. and i constantly have to have a heating pad by my bed in case i do get to that point.

earlier today SO was in shorts and i was in sweats, a sweatshirt. the heating pad on my stomach. and two blankets on top of all that. SO was sweating his butt off cause i wouldnt allow the fan to go on cause i was tired of running to the bathroom and my stomach hurting.

sorry if anything is TMI (about the bathroom) i dont mean it to be im just so sick of this.. and i want to wear a dress for the wedding but am terrified of getting cold and having to run to the bathroom (its outside)

I have IBS, although I know it isn't the same...my stomach gets irritated VERY easily & I get HORRIBLE diarrhea & stomach cramps soo painful I throw up as well. The only thing that helps during those times is Imodium. Have you tried taking Imodium when your stomach starts to act up from the cold? I mean that may be a temporary fix, but have you talked to your doctors about it? They would better know if there is anything you can do to help it.

yeah imodium does help some at least the bathroom aspect.. but not the pain part..

i hate my doc so everytime i see him i forget and dont mention it. i need a new one but so far havnt found anyone.

The imodium helps my stomach pain like all the way...it is a smurfing miracle for me....yea, I would get a new doc for sure.

if i take it in the morning it helps the pain.. if i wait till it happens it only helps the bowel movements.

i need to.. he just rushes everything and his staff are all rude and dont listen.. i found out i had a problem with my brain and it still took them 3 days to call me.. the doc wanted me seen by a nuero asap and the nurse scheduled it for a month away..   ugh i like him when hes not rushing or whatever but he always is now

Aww, what is wrong with your brain?

I have been having horrible headaches for months straight & nobody can figure out what is causing them...it sucks big time. I feel like smurf constantly and it makes me sooo frustrated to have no smurfing answers

at first it was just a concussion that lead to a migrane.. but when i got a mri done it shows that my brain is larger then it should be.. at the base of the skull the brain is supposed to stop in a certain spot. but for some reason my brain is over a inch and a half past that spot.. the doctors are concerned that if i were to get hit there then it can cause permanent brain damage. they said when i got the concussion i was luck that the box that fell on me hit about 4 inches lower or it could have been a lot worse.. im having to see a neurosurgeon to determine if i need to have this fixed or just be extremely careful
