The frontal lobe of your brain isn't even developed. People should not be having kids at 18, they should be enjoying their youth....but that's JMO.

Very true. At 18 I was very much still a kid mentally. By 21/22 I was a completely different person.

it was a nurses aid, but still they didnt say that. They mumbled in agreement after it was said. If I wasnt right there no one would have heard it.

Has a point but it shouldn't have been said. I was actually told the same thing when I had a threatened miscarriage with my daughter. She asked me if I was relieved and then said I was too young for two children (I was 22)   Bitch.

It's a she...and yes, she's a straight A student at one of the best schools in my city but I had lots and lots and lots of help from my parents. They knew that I had no idea what I was getting myself into and luckily they were there to help me out. I thank them all the time

I'm glad to hear that. So many girls are kicked out on their butts when they get pregnant at a young age. It's refreshing to hear that your parents stuck by you.

I agree. My parents are seriously better with my kids than they were with me when I was a kid.

I think that whether she had a point or not (maybe she did ) that she should have noted how upset this girl was and thought twice about what to say. Her bedside manner sucks.

No point whatsoever. That's extremely insensitive thing to say, ever... Let alone at that particular time... & there's no reason why an 18 year old can't have a baby and make a life for themself. At 18 you're an adult... or most people are anyhow. I think it's disgusting that anyone would say that a baby ruins your life. No matter how old you are.
