so, i gave up on the baby daddy, he doesn't care at all. but i wanna get him child support, but if he doesnt have a job, will court say no or will they force him to get a job? just curious, i mean, i've never done this before so i need help with a lot of random things.

They will order him to pay, but it won't be a huge amount.

I think what they'll do is give him an amount based off of what he would be making with a min. wage full time job, and then it'll just go to back child support until he gets a job. Then they'll probably just start taking it out of his checks.

If he claims he's not the dad, you'll have to pay for a paternity test.

In Kansas, you just call child support enforcement, and they take it out of your hands and go after the dad (or mom). If they don't pay CS, warrants are issued for their arrest and they go to jail.

I would get cash aid for the baby and the county will go after him for child support, esp because he dosnt have a job,

And when he gets a job they will go after his income tax
