too late to breastfeed?

I had my son on the 18th. I did try to BF in the hospital but couldn't really get the hang of it, I got a little overwhelmed, so I just went to the bottle. Now that my milk just came in yesterday, I just got this feeling to want to give it another try.. I feel I gave up too easily.

Is too late to try it b/c he has been on the bottle, and has used the pacifier?

its never to late  if you can get him to latch go for it momma!!!

Just try   squeeze a little milk on your nipple to get him interested and see how he does.

If you wnt to try!!!! My sister was born at 24 weeks and had a bottle of my moms pumped milk...they sqid she would never BF but my mom kept trying even though she had a bottle for a good 4 monthe of her life... They got it and nursed 2 yrs. Its possible! Good luck

even if u cant get a good latch you can always pump the breast milk. Better than not trying at all. Baby may not be to find at first after having the formula but should get used to it. Good luck.

no give it a try!!!! And just remember that it may take more than one try to get him to latch well.....this happens to mothers who breastfeed from day 1 too...so dont be discouraged...3 days after my son was born I had medical complications and was unable to breastfeed for a few days. So he took a bottle,but then after a few tries at nursing, he did great!

I would try it.. I wish I tried it when my milk came in but unfortunately I didn't

I'm just afraid it won't work, like not enough milk will come out to satisfy him cause right now he will eat atleast on ounce & a half. My friend has a good pump she's cleaned/sterilized for me to use, if I wanted to. Will the transition to forumla hurt his belly, or anything?

You may need shields but its worth it to try. ;)
