re: too late to breastfeed?

What everyone else said!!! Good luck mama. Offer breast before every feeding. Even if he doesn't latch. If it doesn't work righ away dont get discouraged. Just keep trying every Feeding. You can use a nipple shield as well if he's havin trouble latching.

the hospital gave a madela shield. I think thats what its called.

My baby didnt latch for the firs time until 2 weeks pp. Try it out. If you are going to start trying its very important you are feeding often and pumping if he isnt at the breast. So you dont loose the milk that came in. You can always try a nipple shield to.

Do it whenever you feel the baby is ready. And no, it shouldn't hurt his belly.

No way!!! It should be much easier on his tummy. And Yes next time he's wanting to eat offer it. Don't go in schedule. Just nurse as often as you can and as often as he wants.

This.

Breastfeeding is supply and demand so the more he's sucking at the breast, the more milk your body will produce.
