What's in your Birth Plan?

Just curious!? I'm starting to piece mine together after educating myself thoroughly.

So... what are some BIG deal items for you?

So far I know BREAST ONLY.. as in no nipples, bottles, formula etc. No circumcision, no cord cutting until it stops pulsing, dad holds baby first, no pitocin or episiotomy.

OP my birth plan this time is just no pit and breast only. And to have a baby lol.

I know my hospital will not give a bottle unless it's requested and even then they are VERY pro breast...and I'm just going to make sure that c-section is done only in emergency, no episiotomy, donating the cord blood, DH is to be with LO at all times..I really can't think of anything else..

Well I know sometimes things don't go as planned (in terms of the birth process), so ultimately a birth plan is to result in a baby

Thats my problem. I'm doing all that... but then I feel like I am missing so many things. so... that's why I'm asking.

I wont write an actulaplan but my midwife knows i want to be on the natural delivery suite so i can water birth.. Also BF only.. My midwife always delays cord clamping but i wanted that regardless... No bath for baby. Its good for them to soak up the vernix in the 24 hours after birth.. I am waiting till i go home. So far all 3 i tore in the same spot onlh a little bit needing 1 or no stictches..



But deff no pitocin..

Really!? Tell me more about the vernix. I am a sponge. Maybe I just need to stop in NM on my way to AZ next month to pick your brain. You just know so much!

That's not a birth plan.....



OP, on mine is......no circ., breast only, cord only to be cut after its done pulsing, if c-section is needed my husband will be present, photos and videos are alright, no students in the room unless they ask my permission first. That's pretty much it. I'm keeping it simple.

Edited: & no cutting my goods! I want to tear naturally.
