What to do with a bag of "mom jeans"?

My friend gave me a pretty dated bag of "mom jeans" so to speak, while i was pregnant. As in the pants that stop right at your ankles and have no back pockets and an elastic waist band. They didnt fit me then and they certainly don't fit me now. I believe the biggest size is a 24.
What can I do with these by way of crafts or clothes? I tried looking for handsewn clothes suggestions on google and Pinterest and all I am finding is patterns (I want to just wing it once I see a craft or piece of clothing I like) or doll clothes (I'm too old for dolls.)

I cut up a bunch of old jeans into squares to make a quilt, I just haven't sewn it yet, but I was gonna alternate sides, so one would be darker, the next lighter, on change the direction of the lines. I thought it would look cool, I just have no motivation to sew lately.

I've done that before (& sewed it), it's just one side and the edges are frayed.
