bi polar and pregnancy...

anyone elts going through this, i really need some advice im going to be 39 weeks on saturday but my hormones have been alot worse latly and i dont know how to deal with my emotions.... i get mad so easy and i scream at people, and i cry all the time... i just need some advice please....

yes it does, it doesnt help that i feel so alone, im a single mom, the only personi have is my mom and everyone elts treats me like smurf, all my friends ditched me... how'd you deal with your emotions?

talk to your doc about your meds. My psych doc and I have a plan for right after baby is born. I will have my meds a couple hours after she's born. Hang in there.

I give you a HUGE coodos for making it through the pregnancy without your meds. They ended up putting me on a med at 22 weeks because my bipolar got way out of control. My doc always said I was a fighter but during the pregnancy I just couldn't do it AND deal with all the other drama in my life and you've had more going on than I did. Second you need to speak with your psych doc. Have a plan set. See if she recommends you staying off of meds to breast feed or if you should go back on meds immediately. Again. Good job hanging in there. You are def a stronger person than I was

Honestly, I didn't really deal with my emotions. Lots of outburts. Stayed in bed for days on end, random fits of crying and or severe irritability, and just feeling hopeless. For whatever reason, as soon as I have the baby I usually feel much better! I'm breastfeeding so I only take 50 mg of Zoloft.

So sorry you're feeling so smurffy. Hopefully once baby comes you'll be able to restart meds. Not much longer, hang in there!

I did the same thing, have meds hours after birth (Welbutrin and Abilify). Buspar works wonders
I was diagnosed at 14 and always worried about pregnancy and bipolar but it all works out and now I have a healthy 6 month old. Good luck and hang in there!!!!!

you momma`s are the first ones i have met that are pregnant and bi polar. im 21 yrs old and 6m 6d along and bi polar. so far ive been pretty stable so far without meds but im the bi polar where im happy all the time. if it wasnt for DH keeping me off of cloud 37 i dunno what i would do at the few moments ive had so far where i get to happyy. i dont really have to much advice for u OP about how to deal with emotions will being pregnant and bi polar since this is my first time being pregnant and going to term. i do find that having just 1 person to talk to about anything u need to talk about helps. good luck to you momma`s!

i am hanging in as well as i can , i really want to breast feed so im not sure if you can be on meds while breast feeding i guess i will have to ask... thank you for your advice i hope everything goes well for you...

i will talk to my doctor, and thank you, i dont feel so strong right now its so hard... some days its just hard to get out of bed... gl to you momma.

oh gosh that sounds exactly like me... thank you i will hang in! i gotta be strong for my little girl.
